SERIE A – Juventus’ staggering release clause for De Ligt revealed
Details have emerged from Italy of Juventus’ monumental release clause for Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt. According to Fabrizio Romano, he has a release clause worth €150m that will be valid starting from June 2022 – at the end of the current season.

He has long been in the shadows of Bianconeri greats Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini and this has prompted talks of him moving away from the club. But it seems like any club wanting to lure him will have to spend a fortune.
Nevertheless, Juventus are keen on keeping him for the foreseeable future, and will try to develop him as a natural leader in the back.
