Fresh from winning Euro 2020 title, Italian international left-back Emerson Palmieri is still a major taget for Napoli. After a long, excruciating negotiation, Serie A giants haven't given up yet on the purpose to bring the Brazilian-born back into Serie A realms, with Partenopei new boss, Luciano Spalletti, determined to fetch former AS Roma player, whom he had already pursued back when he was training Inter Milan.

Playing for Chelsea since 2017/18 second half, Emerson, who's turning 27 on August 3rd, isn't stepping back from his current 4 million euros' worth annual salary demand. To this end, Pini Zahavi, acting as both the player's agent and as a middleman on Chelsea's behalf, is trying to make it happen.

Still on a deal with Blues until June 2022, Emerson was traded on a 20 million euros three years and a half ago, and might now end up being purchased from Premier League giants (whose regular starter for the left flank is Ben Chilwell right now, with Marcos Alonso as a further backup) on slightly more than half that sum.

As well as doouble teammate of his Jorginho, Santos alumni managed to be awarded with both Champions League and European League of Nations titles, across last two months. Throughout his Chelsea tenure, Emerson has so far capped 70 times in official games, scoring two goals therein.
