SERIE A - Spinazzola: “ This injury made me a lion"

Leonardo Spinazzola, interviewed with Verissimo, went back to talking about his injury and updated on recovery times: "After twenty minutes I made a video call to my family from the locker room and I immediately smiled again, even though they had full faces of tears.
It's part of the game, I go ahead and enjoy what I have. This stop gave me further inner strength and made me grow a lot: now I feel like a lion. Now I'm fine, this will be the most important month because I will have to do more quality work than quantity. I left the crutches for four weeks and now I'm starting to walk well again ”.
On 2 July, late in the 2–1 quarter-final win over Belgium, Spinazzola was stretchered off the pitch with an Achilles tendon rupture, ending his time in the tournament. On 5 July, Spinazzola underwent successful surgery on his left Achilles tendon.
