By the act of mutual consent under the club’s new management, manager Steve Bruce has vacated his position at St. James’ Park. Newcastle United have wished the veteran manager all the best in his future endeavours and look to hire a new manager by the end of this week.

It was reported yesterday that three names have already been shortlisted for the managerial role. The three candidates are Eddie Howe, Paulo Fonseca and Lucien Favre.
