Standing out from Zenit Saint Petersbourg ranks since February 2019 (and from Rubin Kazan ones before), 26-year old Iranian international forward Sardar Azmoun, according to latest German news, is growing into a major target for Bayer Leverkusen. 

Currently on a deal with Russian giants until June 2022, Azmoun, previously approached by some Serie A sides, notably Lazio, AC Milan, and Napoli, is now tracked also by Atalanta and West Ham.

Tagged as "The Iranian Messi" in his early days as a pro footballer, the 1995-born hitman has so far collected 55 caps and 37 goals for Iranian full-side national team. Besides, throghouth his whole multiple tenure in Russian football, including his days as a Rubin Kazan player and as a FK Rostov one, Azmoun capped 238 times in official games, scoring 95 goals therein.
