BUNDESLIGA - Dortmund again in cahoots with City: Herrera on target
While possibly letting Axel Witsel out before the buzzer, Borussia Dortmund management, which have already handed Thomas Delaney out (to Sevilla FC), are now keen on 23-year old Venezuelan international deep-lying midfielder Yangel Herrera. Deemed a good fit by BVB boss Marco Rose, former Granada playmaker might end up benefiting a lot from a move into German giants ranks, as Jadon Sancho, another Manchester City academy graduate, did throughout latest four seasons.
Currently on a deal with Citizens until June 2024, Herrera, previously linked to Atletico Madrid, spent last two seasons into the ranks of the aforementioned Andalusian side, and Pep Guardiola might end up deciding to keep him, as backup to Ilkay Gundogan. Otherwise, his current worth adds up to 18 million euros, give or take, and Herrera could be handed out right away, if deemed not enough of a "Manchester City material" item.
