SERIE A - Lazio to offload Jony: two Spanish clubs after him

Back into Lazio ranks since last summer, after his 2020/21 Osasuna loan spell, 30-year old Spanish wingback and wide midfielder Jonathan Rodriguez Menendez, known as Jony, has however been sidelined by resident boss Maurizio Sarri, so far. To this end, Italian club are ready to let former Malaga and Deportivo Alavés player out, possibly for good; to this end, both FC Cadiz and Sporting Gijón, the latter of which Jony has already been playing for, are interested in signing him.

Still on a deal with Lazio until June 2023, Jony, a Barcelona FC alumni, capped 319 times in official club pro games throughout his career, scoring 41 goals therein.
