ATLETICO MADRID boss SIMEONE: "Quitting Super League was the right call"

© photo Getty/Uefa/Image Sport Commenting upon Atletico Madrid leaving the Super League project, just before the whole initiative shut down, Colchoneros boss Diego Simeone stated: "When facing an uproar such as the one that Super League announcement led to, things must change. For the better, of course. Anyway, I think Atletico made the right call by quitting it, for both the fans and our family as a club. When they asked me, I just said I completely trusted the club".
