LIGA - Arsenal are desperate to sign Real Madrid's Welsh winger
Gareth Bale is the subject of interest from the London giants over a surprise move in the winter transfer window. Arsenal are prepared to offer €5m to sign the Real Madrid attacker and have already approached Los Blancos over a potential January transfer.
The 2021/22 campaign has been one to forget for Gareth, who has featured only three times so far, scoring once, with injuries blighting his season so far. The 32-year-old, though, seems ready to leave Los Blancos as a free agent, having entered the final year of his deal with Real Madrid.
And his next destination could well be the PL, with the Gunners interested in the Welsh winger. The interest from the Gunners comes as a bit of a surprise. Firstly, his storied history with Tottenham means signing Gareth could be a complicated process.
In addition, his injury woes have shown no signs of disappearing, which begs the question as to how the winger would prove to be a valuable signing for Arsenal.
Nevertheless, it seems like the Gunners are seriously pursuing a move for Gareth, with a €5m bid in the works. While the impending bid is a small figure, Los Blancos are unlikely to recoup much from the sale of a footballer who barely features for them.
