LIGA - David Alaba talks about farewell to Bayern Munich
David Alaba's move to Real Madrid was tantamount to defeat for those in charge of FC Bayern. The trio around Hasan Salihamidzic, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneb failed to tie the Austrian international to the club.
Instead, Alaba moved to warmer climes to the royal family.
In an interview with 'Sport Bild', the left-footed man announced that he “still has a very good relationship with Mr. Rummenigge”. They “only wished him the best” and he was “said goodbye very nicely,” said Alaba.
Despite the sometimes sharp statements made by the Bayern club management, Alaba insists: “There is no such thing as bad blood.” Hoeneb called Alaba advisor Pini Zahavi, among other things, a “money-hungry piranha”. However, the statements were made a year ago and did not leave any negative feelings at least at Alaba.
