LIGA - History: Salzburg, Sevilla shares four penalties in CL game

The visitors (Salzburg) were awarded three penalties, with Germany superstar Karim Adeyemi somehow winning all three despite being fouled repeatedly in the box.
However, with the first race that he won, he veered wide, allowing Luka Sui to jump in where he had failed with the second.
The drama didn't end there, as Sevilla goalkeeper Bono fouled Adeyemi once more, only for Sui to miss the Austrians' third spot attempt of the half.
As if that wasn't enough, Julen Lopetegui's team equalized before the interval with the fourth penalty of the half after a VAR review, allowing Ivan Rakiti to equalize at a time when his side might have been eliminated.
It is the first time in Champions League history that four penalties were granted in the same game, and a visiting club had never been awarded three in the same match before, with three home teams having done so previously.
3 – Karim Adeyemi is the first player to have won three penalties in a first half of a #UCL match (since det. data collection 2003/04). The record for a full Champions League season since at least 2003/04 is four (Arjen Robben in 2013/14). Unstoppable. #SFCSAL pic.twitter.com/JbN7E8VlNG
