Parting ways with Borussia Dortmund, as expected, after six seasons in, 30-year old Swiss goalkeeper Roman Bürki is about to join French titan side AS Monaco, according to both French and German sources.
Inquired about by Bayern Munich as well, former Freiburg, Grasshoppers and Young Boys goalie is going to be traded on an about 6 million euros transfer fee, and is experiencing Ligue 1 for the first time in his career. Throughout his Dortmund tenure, Bürki won two Pokals (2016/17 and 2020/21), as well as a German Supercup, in 2019. Besides, he capped nine times for Swiss senior national teams, between 2014 and 2018.
