LIGUE 1 - Delort expresses disappointment at former club fans hostility
Nice striker Andy Delort highlighted his former supporters' response to his signing for Les Aiglons this summer in an interview published in today's L'Équipe, expressing his dismay at their animosity. The forward also praised Christophe Galtier's contribution to his arrival.
“It hurt me a lot. They didn’t take into account my desire to go above, everything I did for Montpellier in three seasons. I can understand them but I didn’t think it would go this far. Because I’m a child of the club, it didn’t go well.”
“[On whether he signed to be with Christophe Galtier] Of course, and to be a part of the project. I am even happier when I see all of the facilities. It’s the most professional, the most well-managed of the clubs I’ve been in. Galtier brings in this culture of winning to the team but also the whole club, the whole city, that’s what’s extraordinary with him”
