In the aftermath of the crowd disturbance between both sets of fans that marred the derby at Lens last month, 20 minutes report that a Lille fan has been given a suspended eight-month prison sentence.

The 27-year-old was accused of hurling a seat from the stands and injuring a riot police officer who had interfered at half-time when Lens fans charged the pitch.

The offending fan has also been banned from Stade Bollaert in Lens as well as Lille games for the next 18 months. He'll have to report to the Béthune police station before every game, and he'll be fined €1,500 for injuring a police officer.
