LIGUE 1 - Lyon, Caqueret: "We are all pulling in the same direction"
More and more of a powerhouse for Olympique Lyonnais, 21-year old French U21 international midfielder Maxence Caqueret, ahead of Les Gones upcoming Ligue 1 match against Girondins de Bordeaux, stated:
"We always want to play again after a defeat, we want to catch up and win a match. We still have one training session tomorrow to prepare to be at the necessary level on Sunday. We are not in our best form, we have some things that are lacking in this moment, but we are working well in training to fill these gaps. We will correct all that, but we have to give more. Against Reims, we did not do everything at 100%, although we must always fight from the first to the last minute regardless of the opponent and the situation. We know that our talent is not enough. We need more, to add a fighting spirit, and desire, and we have to put everything back in place. We have shown that we can do good things, but we've shown it less over the last few matches.
This match against Bordeaux is very important for us, this match comes at a good time. We have to redeem ourselves, we are not dead yet. They also need points, they have shown that they want to win against us. We must not stress ahead of these kinds of matches. We must aim higher, our objective is to be on the podium as quickly as possible. We must show that we are still there. We aim to win the next five matches. It will be challenging, but we have the team to do it.
We are all pulling in the same direction. We are 100% with the coach, there is no problem with that. We all have the same goals, we will do everything to get back on the right track. We have the team for it. We spoke well, we told each other what we had to, and we were able to clear things up".
