Commenting upon Olympique de Marseille latest Ligue 1 win, over Troyes, by a 4-2 final outcome, 31-year old Spanish centre-back Alvaro Gonzalez stated:
"Getting into a match like this with an empty stadium is hard. But you had to win and we did. We need to gain more confidence for the next games. It was important to win against Troyes to get back in the standings with one game less. By winning it, we could be in second place.
It was difficult, because it was several days since I had played, and I needed a match like that. We won, we didn't concede any goal, and it's good for confidence. This goal is important for Pol Lirola, for the team, for our confidence. We must keep on like this".
