Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler could be the ideal Liverpool signing according to ex-Premier League striker Kevin Phillips.
The Parisians are adjusting to life with living legend Lionel Messi after pouncing on the expiry of his deal at Barcelona.
His departure from Spain spelt the end of a trophy-laden career with Blaugrana, including four UEFA Champions League crowns. And for this reason, the former Sunderland star believes this may pave way for a Julian departure from the Ligue 1 giants.
“He could be the perfect Liverpool signing. Draxler would really strengthen their squad, we all know how good he is,” Kevin told Football Insider.
“Klopp is still looking for players I’m sure. If they could nick Draxler at the right price, he would be a great signing.
“They are in the market for another attacker with [Xherdan] Shaqiri and [Divock] Origi moving on, so he could be a perfect replacement.”
