Named Girondins de Bordeaux head of football in August 2020, almost 54-year old Frenchman Alain Roche left Ligue 1 club. As reported on Girondins official note itself, the club wished him the best, and hope to see him soon to support the team.
A pro player from 1985 to 2002, Roche used to play for Bordeaux, Paris Saint-Germain, Valencia, Olympique de Marseille, and Auxerre, as well as having capped for French senior national team 25 times, from 1988 to 1996.
