PREMIER - Crouch: I think Havertz reminds me of Ozil.
Peter Crouch, a former England striker, has compared Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz to Mesut Ozil.
The 22-year-old played the entire 90 minutes but failed to make an impression as Chelsea fell to Juventus in the Champions League last night.
Crouch, 40, stated in his post-match commentary for BT Sport:
"I thought Ziyech and Havertz were very disappointing. I think Havertz reminds me of Ozil.
"He does things where it comes easy to him and he looks technically brilliant.
"But he can also look lazy and laboured at times and he can frustrate you and I thought tonight they were frustrating."
Havertz signed a five-year contract with Premier League team Chelsea on September 4, 2020. The transfer fee was said to be worth £62 million at first, rising to £71 million with add-ons.
