PREMIER - Everton in pole position to sign Isco
Everton are in pole position to sign Real Madrid star Isco, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spain international has started only two league games this season and could be on the move in January - before his current deal at the Bernabeu expires next year.
As reported by AS, Carlo Ancelotti has tried to revive him since his arrival. Isco is a player who would be highly appreciated by the Italian manager. It is not surprising that Zinedine Zidane's departure would have given the midfielder a completely different perspective.
However, his performances and lack of playing time over the past three months (just 166 minutes in six games) have put the 29-year-old back in the same position as last summer. Isco's contract expires in June 2022 and he is still eager to leave Real Madrid, with Juventus potentially interested with his talent.
