Going on with his Everton TV interview, Toffees 27-year old goalkeeper Jordan Pickford stated:

"On a personal level, I feel I’m in a really good moment now, but I’m still striving every day to get better and better. I’m not just resting on where I am now. I want to keep reaching new levels. All the experiences throughout my career – at Everton, England, Sunderland and my loan moves – have helped me mature and develop as a goalkeeper.

I train hard every day, I always have done, and then it’s all about putting in performances at the weekend. It’s about keeping that narrow focus, helping my teammates out and making those saves when I’m called upon. I want to keep clean sheets, win games and put smiles on the fans’ faces.

Our manager, Rafa Benitez, definitely knows how to set up the team brilliantly. Of course, we were all disappointed by the result against West Ham on Sunday, but having his experience around the place is very important. He has that tactical detail. He picks up on minute things on how we are playing as a team, and on how individuals can improve. It’s constant learning for the players and he has that winning mentality. It’s great for us, as we all want to get better as a team and individuals".
