Leicester City has submitted a planning proposal for the King Power Stadium to be expanded.

The application includes a proposal to expand the East Stand by 8,000 seats, bringing the stadium's total capacity to 40,000. It also contains plans for a 220 room hotel as well as a multi-purpose event and entertainment venue.

The Avenue, a new 6,000-seat arena, will feature a fan zone, flagship fanstore, multi-story parking garage, and an expanded public food and beverage offering for spectators.

Leicester also expects the makeover to generate over 1,000 construction employment and another 1,000 permanent jobs across all facilities once it is completed.

An official LCFC fanstore, maybe with a museum and interactive consumer experience, will be part of the new facilities.
