PREMIER - Ronaldo: My role is to help the team with my experience

Ronaldo has opened up about his role at the club ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against in-form Liverpool, insisting that the adaption will take time after making three big-money additions over the summer.

“We are in a moment where Manchester (United) deal with a few changes,” Ronaldo told Sky Sports, as seen above. “They buy me, they buy Varane, they buy Sancho. The adaptation will take time.

“Even the system of the game that we play. I think step by step, we have to put it in our mind that everything is possible. I don’t speak only about my individual stuff, I put the collective in the first place.

“To win things as a collective, it’s more easy to win than individual stuff. I believe that and I still think that it’s possible. So everyone now should know our role. I know my role in the team, in the club.

“My role is to score goals, to help the team with my experience, my knowhow to understand the game. If every player thinks like that, I think it’ll be a better team, sacrifice for the team. 

“When you don’t have more power to run, in your mind you have to be strong. We have fantastic supporters behind us, fantastic stadium, fantastic team – we have to carry on like that.”
