Manchester United advanced to the Champions League knockout round as Cristiano Ronaldo scored another important goal late on Tuesday.
In the 78th minute, Ronaldo's silky volley after a broken play broke the deadlock, and Jadon Sancho finally scored his first goal for United with a powerful drive that ricocheted off the crossbar in the 90th minute.
United secured at least second place in Group F and a place in the round of 16 thanks to the goals.
The victory was also Michael Carrick's first match as temporary manager. Carrick is acting as a caretaker manager as the club looks for a permanent replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who stepped down on Sunday after a humiliating 4-1 loss to Watford.
