Phil Foden, according to England star Alan Shearer, is one of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team-first sheet's names.
In a 4-1 win over Brighton on Saturday, the playmaker started as a false-nine and scored two goals.
Shearer believes the 21-year-old has established himself as an important element of Guardiola's squad.
Shearer, speaking on BBC Sport, said:
"Foden is fast becoming the first name on Manchester City's team sheet - and that takes some doing.
"Two goals and an assist in a 4-1 triumph. Brighton couldn't handle him."
