Steve Bruce is still at St James Park six days after the Newcastle United takeover.

With no announcement expected on Tuesday, many Newcastle supporters are concerned that Sunday's start of a new era would be hindered by Steve Bruce's presence in the dugout, as well as during media interviews before and after the Spurs match.

According to The Times this morning, conference conversations have taken place between those in the new ownership who are located in the UK and those in Riyadh (the Saudi Arabia PIF's headquarters) to consider firing Steve Bruce.

According to the Times, all decisions must be authorized by those in Riyadh, which in this case means Yasir al-Rumayyan, Newcastle United's new non-executive chairman and governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

According to the publication, Amanda Staveley and the other UK-based ownership are now merely waiting for the 'green light' to fire Steve Bruce.
