PREMIER - West Ham to return for Pellegrini

West Ham will make another attempt to sign Luca Pellegrini from Juventus in January, report Calciomercato.

The left back rejected a number of summer offers to fight for his place in Turin, but has played only 58 senior minutes this season.

The Hammers were one of those interested parties, and could return as they aim to fix a shortage of players on the left side of their defence.

The appointment has already been scheduled, Pellegrini's renewal with Roma is expected this week. Lorenzo's new contract will be without a release clause. The current one, worth 30 million, was valid until July, now it is no longer with the contract expiring and will not be entered again.

The new engagement will be around 4 million, expiring in 2026. Final details on bonuses and image rights and then the time for signing will come. For the happiness of Mourinho who wants to build the Rome of the future on Pellegrini's talent.
