Man United monitor youngster Wahid Faghir

Wahid Faghir has emerged as a target for several teams around Europe. Bologna is one of those teams, anxious to rebuild their front line. Nonetheless, they will face heavy competition from Man United for the U21 Denmark international, who has been nicknamed the "new Ibrahimovic" in his homeland.

A Danish with Afghani origins, Wahid currently plies his trade at Vejle, a modest club in the Superligaen. It is the hometown team of Faghir, who was promoted to the senior team at the start of last year. His younger brother, Waris Faghir, also plays for Vejle but the reserve side at the moment.

The 18-year-old striker made his debut for Vejle at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, assisting on five goals in 10 games in the 1.Division. The Danish striker delivered on his potential in his debut season in Denmark's top flight, scoring five goals in 22 appearances.

It is hardly a spectacular score, but Wahid has certainly established himself as one of the most promising strikers in Denmark's top flight. The adolescent has a towering physique and is highly intimidating in physical duels, as seen by comparisons to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which is complemented by his speed and technique.

With a height of 1.85m, the Vejle striker is a formidable presence in the final third. Wahid's breakthrough at Vejle has also been observed, with the Red Devils keeping a careful eye on his progress.
