After a 2020/2021 season plagued by numerous injuries, Real Madrid attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has gradually returned to competition since the start of the current financial year, with 5 starts in 11 matches played with the White House (1 assist decisive).

Nevertheless, his situation worries, in particular his coach Roberto Martinez, even if he considers that the Belgian international (115 caps, 33 goals) seems ready for the next deadlines of the Red Devils in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“It's an unusual situation. We didn't expect it to be that way. But it's football. I saw that he was medically fine. He is in top form. We have a good relationship with Real Madrid. We know he goes the extra mile to stay as fit as possible. Eden wants to do all he can to reach his highest level. However, he admitted that it's not positive that he hasn't got enough minutes in the last few games."

"This period of international matches is a great opportunity to play. It's not an ideal situation. But you don't worry until Eden stops enjoying football. For now, it isn't. "He is not. I think he can end the season on a high note," he said in an interview with HLN.
