Mason Mount, a Chelsea midfielder, has been ruled out of England's match against San Marino on Monday, according to the Evening Standard.

Mason Mount has had a tooth infection for more than a week. He was a member of the Chelsea camp at the time and received medical attention. Because of the infection's progression, blues manager Thomas Tuchel characterized the situation as "tricky."

Despite the injuries and the risk of missing numerous matches for the England side, Gareth Southgate chose the 22-year-old player.

Following a rise in the infection, the Chelsea player underwent dental surgery this week. The England international had already been ruled out of yesterday's game against Albania, which his team won 5-0.

Gareth Southgate was asked about the potential of returning to the team for Monday's match against San Marino after the game. Southgate has claimed that he is still recovering from his injury, making any chance of a comeback seem unlikely.

“Luke and Mason are very unlikely to join us. It looks like we will run out of time with those two. But I will make changes definitely (against San Marino).”
