England manager Gareth Southgate intends to shuffle his lineup against San Marino on Monday as the Three Lions attempt to clinch a place in the World Cup.

If Southgate's team avoids defeat in San Marino, they will be guaranteed a place in next year's tournament in Qatar.

The Group I leaders thrashed Albania 5-0 on Friday and should have little trouble in their last qualifier on Monday against the world's lowest-ranked team.

He still intends to shake things up in San Marino, but Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are both expected to miss out due to tooth infections and head injuries, respectively.

"Yes, we will make quite a few changes but what we've done well in the past is sustain good performances, even with those changes," Southgate said.

"Although it was one of the more experienced teams we've fielded, we still had a lot of exciting young talent out there."
