PREMIER - Arsenal to make approach for former Liverpool star
Philippe Coutinho has failed to shine for Barcelona since signing for them from Liverpool in the January transfer market of 2018. The 29-year-old star has been linked to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur repeatedly in the latest years.
The two north London sides were named as suitors for the Brazil international in the last window, but a reported deal never took shape.
Having fully recovered from a long-term injury, the playmaker made his first appearance of 2022 against Bayern Munich earlier in September. Since then, the South American has featured twice in the last two La Liga matches.
According to El Nacional, the Catalan giants are hopeful they can send him out on loan in the winter window if Coutinho impresses in the coming months. Liverpool have ruled out bringing back their former player and most of the report focuses on the Anfield side.
The Gunners and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are tagged at the end of the report. It is said Spurs keep their interest open in the player. It will be interesting to see whether they will maintain the same stance on the Blaugrana man when the transfer market reopens in January
