PREMIER - Tottenham will have to tighten their belts

Antonio Conte has just put his bags in Tottenham and is already warned that the next transfer window of the club may be "low cost only".
In a statement released by Spurs, President Daniel Levy said that savings will be made in the coming months, following the losses caused by the closed doors and the covid-19 pandemic.
“Spending on player transfers is no guarantee of success, and we need to focus on improving recruitment, coaching, fitness and a competitive mindset,” warns him straight away.
To implement his demands, he is putting pressure on his sporting director Fabio Paratici and the new coach, Antonio Conte.
“Fabio continued to rebuild the squad this summer, so the average age of our new summer recruits is 22 compared to the average age of 31 for players who have left. We will also seek to continue the path already well established between the young people of our academy to our first team. I know Antonio's approach is that if a player is good enough they will play regardless of their status or age.” Now is the time for recession.
